We analyse management systems according to three ‘items’:
  1. Relevance of their Policies (P)
  2. Coherence of Implementation (I)
  3. Effectiveness of Results (R)
Continuous improvement for the company

These three items are structured into nine approaches.

1. P = Relevance of Policies:

  • Visibility: What visibility is given to CSR objectives within the company?
  • Content: Do corporate policies cover all CSR objectives based on internationally recognised standards?
  • Transmission: Who is really responsible for carrying out these policies?

2. D = Coherence of Implementation:
  • Process: What procedures and human, financial and organisational resources have been implemented?
  • Means: Are human, financial and organisational resources adequate?
  • Reporting / monitoring: What internal and external controls are in place to monitor whether the mechanisms in place are appropriate to meet internationally recognised CSR objectives?

3. R = Effectiveness of Results:

  • Indicators: What are the company’s indicators?
  • Stakeholders’ views: How do internal and external stakeholders assess management commitments?
  • Controversies / Trends: How serious are controversies involving the company, how transparent is its response, how well does it co-operate with stakeholders?
