How much assets are under management in France and Belgium compared to the other European countries? |

According to Eurosif* (European SRI Study 2006), the SRI market of companies selected according to their positive environmental, social and governance performance and/or by exclusion according to ethical criteria (Core SRI) represented over 105 thousand billion € amount outstanding ** on the 31st of December 2005.
The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Belgium and France are in the lead. On the 31st of December 2005, Belgium reached nearly 10 billion whereas France had surpassed 8 billion amount outstanding integrating environmental, social and governance criteria (ESG).
According to Eurosif, the SRI market by simple exclusion of certain activities (tobacco, weapons...), through shareholder question relating to ESG criteria, or through the integration of ESG criteria in traditional financial analysis (Broad SRI) represented over 1033 thousand billion € amount outstanding ** in Europe on the 31st of December 2005, i.e. 10 to 15% of the total of European amount outstanding.
The strategies chosen by asset managers tend to combine the two approaches.
