Forum Ethibel is an independent association whose goal is to raise the awareness of both the general public and institutions, so that they make investments in line with the ethical values it promotes.
Forum Ethibel is a shareholder of Vigeo and has counts a number of notable associations and NGOs amongst its members, including Hefboom, Crédal, Réseau Financement Alternatif (Alternative Finance Network), the Centre National de Coopération au Développement (National Centre for Development Co-operation), etc. Using research undertaken by Vigeo, Forum Ethibel draws up the Ethibel ethical investment register.
To achieve this, Forum Ethibel defines which of the Vigeo research criteria will be used to establish the eligibility filter for companies on the Ethibel investment register.
Forum Ethibel ensures external control of most Belgian investment funds of a socio-ethical or ecological nature. This means that these funds invest exclusively within the Ethibel investment register in order to build their portfolio.
